Johns Creek Police K-9 Unit

The all-purpose police dogs of the Johns Creek Police K-9 Unit provide a crucial service to Uniform Patrol. They work various aspects of patrol, including

• tracking 
• apprehension 
• narcotics 
• building searches 
• article searches 

The dogs are titled German Shepherds from the Czech Republic, and come from a long line of dogs trained specifically to assist law enforcement personnel in their work.

Through the donations and funds raised by Leadership Johns Creek and the Atlanta Retailers Association, the JCPD Canine Training Center opened in 2017 and continues to support the specific training needs of the canine officers of Johns Creek and surrounding jurisdictions.
